MMmmhh....great...!!! Pretty nice wall. Hope You try another one with lower resolutions and old windows™ logo...May be different background colours...Anyway, thanks for this great work. Using now on my desktop...!!!!
Ah, but last time I tried Wine, everything worked fine, but the cursor was all screwy...
Also, the distro I used (Puppy Linux) decided "Oh, we're gonna take away the tgz2pet command! It's as if we don't want to support Wine!", so now it's a bit difficult to track down the PET edition of Wine to run on Puppy Linux.
Puppy Linux is the only linux that my old HP that was designed for Win98 can run!
Ah... that's probably why Wine is scewier than usual. A pre-NT machine is gonna have trouble with an XP-inspired abstraction layer. Also, they do want people to stop using Wine. Some jealous Linux developers feel it's taking away from their market share by stopping people from completely switching the GNU and related software.
Is this a secondary machine? You could dual-boot (or completely reload) your primary Window$ one.
Well, yeah...as for Windows 2000, there is no migration path to either Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 or the upcoming Windows 8/Windows Server 2012 operating system.
I did use Windows Vista for a while until the GPU on the laptop blew up causing the laptop to stop working. As for Windows XP, did you know that there are still over one billion people (that's almost 15% of the world's population) using that operating system?
It would take a awfully long time to get every user around to work to use Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7. Microsoft will under one condition only support Windows XP SP3 through April 2014.
